Equanimity is the ability to stay calm and steady no matter what surrounds you. That is what this painting holds.

I wanted to create something bold that still worked as a whole, strong colors and forms that could coexist without competing. Painted with brush and silicone wedge, the black forms are assertive, the blue vivid and grounding, the white and yellow marks finding their place within the energy. Many parts, all working together. For all its energy, it never loses its calm. That balance is what makes it so compelling to live with.
