Light on water has always felt magical to me. I love the way it shifts and sparkles. This painting came out of that fascination, the way light moves through deep water, illuminating everything it touches.

There is something sacred about being in the ocean. The way it surrounds you completely, touches every part of you, and quiets everything else. It is its own kind of stillness. A doorway to peace that is hard to find anywhere else. That is what I wanted to capture in this painting.
