My Armenian grandmother repeatedly kept showing up in my meditations and I felt compelled to express her journey to America in my abstract style. I grew up hearing stories and my grandfather kept a journal of their journey so combined with my meditation, I felt ripe to create this work. I felt as though I was the vessel for her to express. She was a talented creative and sewed beautiful clothing and wrote poetry.
