The layers of color and depth invite you in to this painting and draw you closer to its mystery. I worked with a variation of marks and textures to conjure a sense of familiarity while at the same time evoking a dream state. I call it The Memory because it reminded me of that fleeting moment of trying to remember if something actually happened or if it was a dream. The Memory calls you to find your own story within.
