Years ago, when my son was a toddler, a neighbor would greet us by asking how is the universe and his parents. Those words came back to me when my son turned 25.

This painting is a mother’s love for her child. Built with brush and purposeful drips of paint, the shapes are imperfect and softened, the marks gentle. I want whoever lives with this to feel that comfort. The kind of love that never wavers.
