There’s something about seeing life happening in the distance that stirs wonder in me. A whole world out there, people living fully, unknown to me. This painting holds that sense of it, and what’s in the distance is left for you to decide.

Before I painted this I applied modeling paste to the canvas to create some structure on the surface. Then I built up color with my layering and wiping technique, letting the texture show through.
